June Birthdays

 

i'm a little late but here it is anyway.

these are the cupcakes i made for my birthday. for a while now i've wanted to try making buttercream icing as a culinary challenge. thanks to tiffany's assistance the first attempt was wonderfully, deliciously successful. without a stand mixer and a few other key pieces of equipment it is definitely a two person job. i do however take complete credit for decorating the cupcakes. the betty crocker devil's food and white cake mixes were imported especially for the occasion by jessica.

the cupcakes were definitely a big hit. i think because they are so small people eat twice as much as they would have if there had just been cake. german word of the day: die kalorienbombe.

june was the month of birthdays: happy belated to kern, gina, susanna, kevin and now naomi. welcome to the club, kid.
