Twenty Years Ago

october 3rd this year, "tag der deutschen einheit", was almost a non-event. it's kind of like that every year. sure this year there were a million people out on the street and giant puppets but it didn't really feel celebratory.

tonight, i don't know if you've heard, there are a few things going on. the atmosphere is also decidedly more festive.

i was supposed to join the mauer mob event with some friends but our group got moved because of dominos. we'll just join the crowd instead - maybe david hasselhoff will make an appearance.
