Sister Light, Sister Dark
this is the title of a book i read in my youthful scifi/fantasy reading days. i've always loved the title but can't really remember much about the book.
the cycling of the dark stormy sky followed by the summer sun this past week reminded me today of the title.

i better make sure i don't just start talking about the weather. it's as bad as writing about what i had for lunch.
It is the story of Jenna. Raised on a mountainside, she learned the arts of the warrior, and from the mountain women the magic of the ancient lore. But the greatest magic of all was her ability to call forth her dark sister from the depths of the mirror of the land of light and shadow.Skada was the dark one, able to exist only when the moonlight cast a shadow or lamplight flickered in a darkened room. This is the story of Jenna and Skada. Sister Light and Sister Dark.
...and I had Indian food.
Ha! When I saw the title of this post, I assumed it was going to be an anti-racist commentary.
