Die Natur!
i keep meaning to write a post about why i choose to live in berlin and not say - toronto. about my experience as a foreigner, culture shock, acclimatization, why i like it here, why i've stopped planning to move back to canada. i've started it a few times but it threatens to turn into a rambling essay of jumbled thoughts that i then decide are too private. discard.
germans, in my opinion, have a very romantic notion of canada. anyone i meet casually, who learns i'm from canada, is confounded to learn i live here voluntarily. why here? all that nature! when they want to move to canada? and then i dispense tourism advice. like today to the women at my building's management office.

Having lived in Germany for 21 years, I have now adopted the German secret ambition to emigrate to Canada - whoopee! You should have written about how people suddenly become unenthusiastic about getting available jobs in all that nature say, north of sixty or wherever.
