I'm getting close to unsubscribing. Becky and I have chatted about this already.
She's a really good writer, which has in the past helped me look past just how, um, pretentious she is. I think a lot of her self-, parenting- and relationship- insights are great but the "poetry," food, and fashion stuff is starting to drive me crazy. I hate that so many mommy-blogs are becoming lifestyle magazines. Obviously, there is a market and marketting for such things but I am not it! /rant.
I check it out every once in a while but I don't subscribe. I like her taste in music for the most part, the relationship insights are good and I actually find the food part interesting.
I do know what you mean though. I used to read dooce. It was funny and I liked her openness about depression and her experience with it. But now, I'm just not in the demographic.
